After earning a Bachelors degree in Literature and Writing from Cal State San Marcos, Kathleen worked as a middle school English and history teacher. After three years, she set sale on a voyage to Colombia, where she served as a Peace Corps volunteer and developed education and youth development projects. After receiving a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth, she headed west to settle in San Francisco, where the summers are frigid, but its never muggy. Having spent her professional career working in design and production in higher education, shes delighted to join a group of spirited pirates, adventurers, and pundits inspiring the next generation of literary geniuses.
